About this book
Paksenarrion, once a sheepfarmer's daughter and now a veteran soldier, leaves the Duke's mercenary company to follow the path of Gird alone. She is disillusioned by the company's murky dealings, and sets out for the legendary stronghold of Luap, far to the west.
