About this book
After the war with the Imperial Order, Richard and Kahlan have settled in the People's Palace and hope for peace. Then a mysterious machine, buried underground for thousands of years, is found after an accident, and it begins to issue warnings that prove to be accurate.
While Zedd works to find a way to destroy it, it predicts a catastrophe involving Richard and Kahlan that no one can stop, and it offers to withdraw the omen only in return for an impossible price. A Richard and Kahlan novel by Terry Goodkind.
