About this book
The world has gone to war, and Ciri, the child of prophecy, has vanished. She has taken on the guise of a petty bandit and lives free for the first time in her life, while Geralt gathers a group of allies determined to rescue her.
Geralt hunts the bandits to find out who hired them, suspecting the wizard Vilgefortz, and meets the elven sage Avallac'h, who tells him not to seek Ciri because what is fated will happen anyway. Ciri's story is told in an inquest in Nilfgaard. The sixth Witcher book and the fourth novel of the saga, by Andrzej Sapkowski, known in English as The Tower of the Swallow.
